Acupuncture Services
Our philosophy is that Qi and blood flow better with a combination of acupuncture and bodywork. Each session is tailored to uncover root imbalances while maintaining lasting wellness.
Generally, each treatment runs 45-60 minutes long, with diagnosis, acupuncture, bodywork, dietary, lifestyle, and herbal recommendations.
APPOINTMENT TYPES

During your first visit, we’ll perform a comprehensive, holistic diagnosis, combining classical Chinese and Japanese acupuncture techniques.
We discuss your medical history, "listen" to your pulse, assess vital signs, conduct channel palpation, and do a physical exam to uncover the root causes of imbalance.
Plan for about an hour and arrive 15 minutes early in loose clothing. Free parking is available at both our Berkeley and Walnut Creek clinics.

Our follow-up sessions are designed to maintain momentum on your healing path and address your evolving needs.
To maximize results, we initially recommend 3–5 weekly visits, depending on the severity of your condition. As your health improves, we’ll adjust to biweekly or monthly visits. For everyone, we encourage seasonal tune-ups as part of ongoing body maintenance to help you stay balanced and thriving year-round.

Therapeutic Bodywork

Our bodyworkers specialize in releasing deep adhesions and restoring blood flow.
While bodywork is included in acupuncture sessions, we also offer standalone 60- or 90-minute massage appointments to ease pain, relieve stress, and restore harmony.

For acute muscle spasms, we haven't found anything as effective as cupping to release pain and tension. By gently pulling on the myofascial tissue, cupping therapy helps release nerves locked in persistent firing patterns. This decompression technique also draws stagnant blood to the surface, activating the lymphatic system to naturally eliminate toxins and promote healing.
